My greatest meditation is in action. It is painting, or playing music, or surfing. It is exploring depths of emotion within myself through movement, carrying myself through different patterns of expression. Meditation, for me, is staying in rhythm with things, relaxing into a state of acceptance and flow. I really have never deeply meditated, I just try to exhibit a constant state of trust. This doesn’t mean I don’t allow myself to be sad or angry, sometimes I am sad, and sometimes I am angry, it is just the space that I come back to when I realize that I cannot become attached to any one emotion. I can honor an emotion, be thankful for it, but I cannot expect myself to be in a constant state of elation, that would be unrealistic. But that is the state where I am. Someone incredibly in touch, who deeply meditates may have a completely different perspective. :) xoxo
